Jospong Group Subsidiaries Recognised for Excellence in Innovation and Community Impact

The Jospong Group of Companies has celebrated recognition received by two of its subsidiaries for innovation, environmental management and community impact.

Kumasi Compost and Recycling Plant (KCARP) and Dredge Masters Limited received awards at the National Brands Innovation Awards held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on May 26, 2023.

KCARP received the Waste Management & Recycling Facility Excellence Award, recognising its contribution to the treatment and recovery of municipal solid waste.

Dredge Masters Limited received the Community Impact Award of the Year in recognition of its contribution to the dredging sector and its work in supporting the sanitation and restoration of national water bodies.

The recognition highlighted the contribution of businesses within the Jospong Group to innovation and environmental management.

KCARP is a major municipal solid waste treatment facility established to receive and treat waste from the Kumasi Metropolis and adjoining district assemblies.

Dredge Masters, meanwhile, provides modern dredging services to government and private-sector institutions and operates with internationally recognised management systems. The company holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.

The awards also reflected the Group’s broader focus on using business and technology to address environmental and social challenges.

Commenting on the recognition at the time, Jospong Group’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Ms. Sophia Kudjordji, said the awards represented an acknowledgement of the hard work and commitment of the Group’s employees.

The recognition of the two subsidiaries forms part of a broader record of industry and institutional recognition received by businesses within Jospong Group.
